How does it work?

Scar camouflage is a form of micropigmentation. Pigment is placed into the skin to reduce the visible colour difference between a scar and nearby skin. Colour selection and the condition of the scar matter.

Is my scar suitable?

A scar generally needs to be fully healed and stable before camouflage is considered. Its colour, texture and condition affect the options. A raised, changing or recently healed scar needs assessment rather than an assumption that pigment is the answer.

What should I expect?

Camouflage does not erase a scar or flatten its texture. The colour can change as the treated area heals, and further appointments may be needed. Ask about the expected effect, risks, healing, colour changes and ongoing care for your own skin.
